Description
Pau d’Arco is a highly revered Amazonian herb derived from the inner bark of the Taheebo Tree native to Brazil and Argentina. Brewed as a tea, it is a naturally sweet tasting herb with hints of vanilla. Pau d’ Arco may support the immune system. The tree was discovered by natives who noticed that even when dead it would never rot. It is due to the intrinsic chemical factors which fight fungus, yeast, and mold.
Ingredients: Wild-crafted Pau d’Arco inner bark (Tabebuia impetiginosa)
Usage: 2 Tb. in 16-32 ounces of hot water. Steep for at least 5 minutes or longer. Pour through strainer if necessary. Great combined with other herbs like chaga, goji berries and vanilla bean.
WildCrafted- Wild foods have a much broader medicinal range than a cultivated plant due to their constant adaptation to changing conditions of their natural environment. By consuming these plants, our DNA receives a calibration to enhance the energy production, immune response, and stress handling capabilities. The science of epigenetics is proving that our DNA can be improved by consuming plants with a strong genetic profile.
Broad Spectrum Anti-pathogen- With immune challenges ranging from mutated bacteria and viruses to yeast overgrowth and parasites, we need a strategy. Pau d’Arco is safe for daily use but also very effective against virtually every known pathogen. It is particularly useful against yeast and fungal overgrowth caused by antibiotic use and sugar intake.
Immune Enhancer- It is known to activate human immune cells and has been used for cancer and other immune conditions with great success. Many of its benefits are related to its blood-cleansing compounds and compounds that inhibit harmful microorganisms. Lapachol is effective against malaria and quercetin is a powerful antiviral
Antioxidant– Pau d’Arco has been found to support the broad spectrum antioxidant effects similar to Vitamin E. It has been proven to have great cardiovascular protective effects. One of the ingredients in Pau d’Arco is beta-lapachone, a potent catalyst for a molecule called NAD+. By increasing NAD+, Pau d’Arco helps improve mitochondrial ATP production which is essential for virtually all healing processes carried out in the body. Pau d’Arco also contains quercetin, an antioxidant shown to cleanse the blood and combat inflammation and viral illnesses. It also acts as a natural antihistamine
Traditionally Tested- Pau d’Arco has been used by indigenous people for thousands of years. Pau d’Arco has been traditionally used for the treatment of wounds, aches and pains, malaria and other tropical diseases, colitis, respiratory infections, fever, inflammation, boils, ulcers and more
